Bob Margolin, Bluesman extraordinaire and side-guitarslinger to Muddy Waters displaying the illustration I created of him, presented by the Pinetop Perkins Foundation in appreciation.
Bob has been an incredible encouragement to me with the art through this Covid period and was the first to have published my illustration of Paul Oscher in a major Blues Magazine to accompany his memory of his great friendship with Paul after his sudden passing.
To be able to have connected with and gotten to know a little bit, someone I deeply admire in the Blues and have been absorbing through some of my favorite Muddy recordings for decades was something unexpected I cherish.
To have been asked to create this tribute illustration of him, which symbolizes the inseparability of Bob and his mentor Muddy, who changed my life and put me on the path and journey of the Blues as a teenager, was a dream!
Every line, stroke, and curve is imbued with a lifetime of my deep appreciation for the Blues and its continued impact on my life.
